Christian Zmasek

Currently I am a postdoc in Adam Godzik's group at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute [1]. Previously, I worked at GNF [2]. I graduated with a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the laboratory of Sean Eddy [3] at the Washington University School of Medicine [4].

Research Interests

Functional and comparative genomics, in particular:

 Evolution of regulatory pathways
 Evolution of protein architectures
 Ancestral genome reconstruction and analysis
 Evolution of complexity

Automated sequence function prediction Molecular evolution and phylogenetic inference Software and algorithm development, data visualization Experimental molecular biology
